Geolocation filtering: www.georgewbush.com blocked during run-up to election

By: nart on 27 October 2004

The ONI connected to remote computers located in fifty countries* around the world and requested the website, www.georgewbush.com, so that the geolocation filtering software used to restrict access to the website would respond as if we were physically located in each of these countries. Out of the fifty locations tested, only those in Canada and the United States were able to access www.georgewbush.com.
