*After an order from Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Telecommunications and Information that all .kz domains must be hosted on servers located in Kazakhstan, Google has begun redirecting all Kazakh search engine traffic to Google.com.

*The Netherlands is the first European nation to adopt net neutrality , after an agreement by Dutch Parliament on June 8th. The legislation will force ISPs and telecom services to treat all traffic equally, and was fiercely opposed by some providers.

*After the release of the United Nations special report on the Internet and freedom of expression last week, John Hendel predicts conflict between EU rules about the “right to be forgotten” and the United States view of freedom of expression online.
